Veja as montadoras campeãs de recalls em 2012
Não foram poucos os recalls realizados pela indústria automotiva brasileira em 2012. Segundo levantamento realizado pelo site Exame com dados fornecidos pelo Procon, BMW e MINI lideram o ranking com cinco chamados anunciados pelas duas marcas (elas pertencem ao Grupo BMW) no ano passado, que afetaram 4.350 unidades, sendo que até agora 2.010 veículos foram reparados.
O segundo lugar ficou com a Citroën, que teve dois recalls envolvendo os modelos Aircross, C4 Pallas, C3 Picasso e C4, atingindo 128.976 unidades. Várias montadoras igualaram o número de ocorrências da marca francesa: Dodge (Journey e Ram, 3.375 unidades), Honda (Accord e CR-V, 12.191 veículos), Ford (New Fiesta e Nova Ranger, com 27.722 unidades), Nissan (Frontier e Pathfinder, 60.360 unidades), Toyota (RAV-4, Camry e Corolla, totalizando 43.943 unidades).
Com um recall realizado durante o ano de 2012 aparecem Audi, Chery, GM, Chrysler, Jeep, Kia, Maserati, Porsche e Volkswagen. Até o momento, em 2013 apenas a Chevrolet anunciou um recall, convocando os donos de Onix equipados com motor 1.0 para verificação e eventual substituição das rodas de aço de 14 polegadas.
